The Kerala State Lottery is one of India’s most trusted government-run lotteries established in 1967.
It was 1st founded by Shri. P. K. Kunju Sahib, which was an innovation for increasing the revenue. He released the first Lottery Ticket of Kerala with a cost of Rs 1 after declaring Rs 50,000/- as the first prize.
This was established to provide a stable source of income to the poor and needy belonging to the marginalized section of society. It’s the first official lottery system in India.
Many people across Kerala take part in this enthusiastically. The objective for starting the programme was to provide employment to people and supplement government finance without disturbing the public. So it’s supposedly a 2 way benefit.
